Gone are the days when US veterans had to wait months, even years, to be approved for Social Security disability benefits. There is now a "fast track" program for veterans who have a 100 percent disability rating from the Veterans Administration.  You may be approved for additional Social Security disability benefits in less than one month.  In fact, some applications can be approved in about a week.
